Whilst doing some recent research I came across this interesting study by Frost and Sullivan. See slide 5 of this slide-pack.

Without knowing further details about the sample-set used to prepare this percentage, it leaves me with two trains of thought. 1) That’s a massive percentage of CSPs that are transforming, which surprises me and 2) With the Massive Inflection Points upon us, this doesn’t surprise me at all.

And given that the inflection points discussed in the link above are likely to have a transformative effective on OSS/BSS, it would seem that there are many new projects on their way through the pipeline.

It remains to be seen whether this pipeline of customers will seek the traditional OSS or one fitting of what the new drivers will be after the inflection points discussed.
