Netcracker to transform Telefónica

Netcracker Provides End-to-End BSS and OSS Transformation Program to Telefónica.

Netcracker Technology announced that Telefónica Business Solutions is using an end-to-end BSS/OSS stack from Netcracker to help it become a more automated and efficient service provider by enabling the faster delivery of business services and with a significant cost reduction.

Netcracker will provide a complete end-to-end IT stack, including BSS and OSS, for Telefónica’s worldwide Wholesale and Roaming businesses. The company will also use Netcracker’s implementation and consulting expertise to accelerate the delivery and monetization of new services.

Netcracker will help Telefónica become more efficient by speeding up service delivery, implementing zero-touch provisioning and unifying product and services bundles through a single catalog. Telefónica Business Solutions will leverage Netcracker’s full Revenue Management solution, including converged rating and billing capabilities. With its exclusive combination of technology, deployment expertise and its relentless focus on execution, Netcracker will help the company accelerate its order-to-cash cycles and build a foundation on which to deliver and manage new revenue-generating services.

With a completely integrated business and operations (BSS/OSS) stack, Telefónica Business Solutions will achieve a comprehensive view of its customers across all lines of business. This will allow for better customer service, accelerated service creation and delivery, optimized end-to-end customer experience and the ability to meet a very demanding set of customer and service-level agreements (SLAs). This will also allow Telefónica to anticipate and react quickly to the changing needs of its customers’ globally connected workforces. Orders and customer requests will be processed more quickly and accurately, bringing services to market faster. Additionally, legacy systems will be decommissioned in the process, allowing the company to simplify its network and manage network and customer data more efficiently.

“Our customers expect digital, always-on services and we need to transform how we do business in order to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations and continue our profitable growth in the business services market,” said Nicolas Howard, CIO at Telefónica Business Solutions. “Strategic partners like Netcracker help us deliver more for our customers by giving us real business results today and keeping us on the long-term path to becoming a fully-automated digital service provider.”

“Netcracker is the strategic partner of choice for several large-scale digital transformations because of our technology, industry expertise and ability to deliver,” said Frank DeTraglia, Chief Customer Officer at Netcracker. “Telefónica Business Solutions is in a great position to capitalize on the growth in business services and we are committed to helping Telefónica lower the cost of delivering those services. We’ll build on that success by helping it bring new offerings to market faster and improve the responsiveness of its existing services through new levels of automation.”

This multiyear, multimillion-dollar engagement is just another proof point of Netcracker’s ability to execute and deliver large-scale network and business transformations for service providers around the world. In the past two years, Netcracker has announced extensive transformations through a BSS suite in Uruguay, Ecuador and five Central America countries, in addition to specific Revenue Management deployments with Telefónica Germany and Telefónica’s UK subsidiary, O2.
