Softbank deploys Procera

Procera Networks Deployed on SoftBank’s LTE Network.

Procera Networks, announced that SoftBank has deployed Procera’s PacketLogicTM solutions to enhance its LTE service offerings in Japan. Procera was selected to replace the existing traditional analytics and assurance vendors due to the enhanced Subscriber Experience visibility that Procera was able to provide for the operators on top of traditional mobile analytics. Softbank is committed to providing a superior subscriber experience as broadband usage increases with the popularization of smart phones and tablets.

“Mobile operators are differentiating their offerings by delivering a great experience to their subscribers,” said Andy Lovit, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Services at Procera. “Procera’s solutions enable SoftBank to see the actual experience delivered to their subscribers in real time and ensure that the experience is a good one for all subscribers.”

This deployment was delivered to SoftBank in partnership with ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation. ITOCHU Techno-Solutions will provide comprehensive services from the design of the system to its deployment, using the PacketLogic solutions offered by Procera.

Procera’s Subscriber Experience analytics solutions offer operators both real-time and historical visibility into the subscriber experience metrics that matter. The intelligence gathered from Procera’s Perspectives product family (RAN, Video, Subscriber, Device, Routing, Traffic, Content, and Topology) is displayed in real time using Dynamic LiveView or streamed using IPFIX, and then stored in the PacketLogic Intelligence Center for visualization in the Insights product family (Engineering, Customer Care, and Marketing) or an external Big Data solution. Subscriber Experience Assurance solutions utilize the PacketLogic Real-Time Enforcement platform to manage the subscriber experience in real time in accordance with each user’s service needs by setting policies based on applications, content, location, and other subscriber service plan attributes.
