VIVO Signs Major Expansion with NetCracker

VIVO Signs Major Expansion of Billing Managed Services Agreement with NetCracker.

NetCracker Technology announced that VIVO has agreed to a major expansion of its billing managed services relationship. Under this agreement, VIVO will replace and consolidate a legacy billing system responsible for its fixed-line data services for enterprises with its existing NetCracker billing managed service, which is currently responsible for its consumer mobile offerings. This multi-year expansion will double the billing volume NetCracker currently processes for VIVO, serving more than 32 million subscriptions, and expand NetCracker’s role to include both consumer and enterprise billing.

“As our proven partner for consumer billing, NetCracker is the logical choice as we drive greater efficiency into our billing operations by migrating one of our legacy systems in NetCracker’s BSS solution,” said Christiane Edington, Executive Director of IT at VIVO. “We look forward to working with NetCracker on this expanded basis as we continue to deliver the most competitive and advanced mobile and fixed-line services to our consumer and enterprise customers across Brazil.”

VIVO will realize several benefits as a result of decommissioning the legacy system that currently supports its fixed-line data services for enterprises and migrating its billing responsibilities to NetCracker’s Managed Services. In addition to streamlining its revenue management operations, VIVO will simplify the processes associated with managing a range of fixed and wireless products across its consumer and enterprise lines of business. Furthermore, VIVO will be able to leverage the substantial economies of scale it experiences through NetCracker’s Managed Services to decrease operational expenses and reduce IT management burdens.
