Behavioural Analysis

It’s better to hang out with people better than you. Pick out associates whose behavior is better than yours and you’ll drift in that direction.”
Warren Buffett

How many gun network firefighters write OSS code? And how many gun OSS coders fix CSP networks for a living? And how many business analysts can do both?

I’d hazard a guess by saying “few more than none” for each of the questions posed above.

Vendors invariably assign a business analyst to a project or product development. But how many assign a behavioural analyst?

When developing a product, let’s say a network fault management tool, I’d try to round up the best network fault finders in the business and use statistical analysis to process their actions and, by corrolary, their thought processes for resolving faults.

How on earth can you know who is the best in the business? Great question. I don’t currently know either. But I’ll propose an idea in tomorrow’s blog post that might be a fun way of finding out.

Then how on earth would you process and analyse their behaviours in a statistical manner? I do have an answer to this question. Drop me a message on the contact page if you’d like further information.
