On Monday evening in Nice, TM Forum announced the list of 12 Excellence Awards for 2019<\/a>. They also anointed Distinguished Fellow and Distinguished Engineer status on two of the industry’s leading contributors.<\/p>\n

  8. Outstanding Customer Centricity \u2013 Whale Cloud & China Telecom<\/li>\n
  9. Open API \u2013 DGiT, Netcracker<\/li>\n
  10. CIO of the Year \u2013 Cody Sanford, T-Mobile USA<\/li>\n
  11. CTO of the Year \u2013 Giovanni Chiarelli, MTN South Africa<\/li>\n

    I’m most excited about number 4 on the list, partly because I was involved in the early concept \/ PoC stages of Telstra’s NaaS (Network as a Service) project and because of what NaaS represents to our industry [more on that in tomorrow’s post<\/strong>]. I’m also excited to see a little Australian company, DGiT, appearing amongst a list that’s mostly made up of industry heavyweights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
