RCN, Grande Communications and Wave Broadband Select Ni2’s Network and Resources Management Solution.

Ni2 announced that RCN, Grande and Wave, leading providers of high-speed internet, digital TV and phone services, selected Ni2 as part of their initiative to modernize and standardize the network inventory management processes across all networks. This initiative aims to provide operational agility to the companies, as well as network capacity optimization.

RCN, Grande and Wave are industry-leading providers of high-speed internet, digital TV, phone services, broadband communications solutions and fiber optic solutions for residential and business customers across the United States. Together, RCN, Grande and Wave serve areas of Massachusetts, Chicago, Pennsylvania, New York City, and Washington, DC (RCN); Texas (Grande Communications) and Washington, Oregon and California (Wave Broadband).

The companies, which together form the sixth largest cable operator in the U.S., provide industry-leading high-speed internet, broadband communications solutions, digital TV, phone services and fiber optic solutions for residential and business customers.The companies continue to expand their fiber-rich network with a continued commitment to offering award-winning telecommunication services while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

The decision to utilize Ni2’s Network and Resources solution will allow RCN, Grande and Wave to view the end-to-end network from a core and central office to customer premises with comprehensive views of all dependencies between these and every network resource. Ni2 enables RCN, Grande and Wave to view the E2E service composition across the physical, logical and business layers, which translates in advanced service impact analysis for maximum capacity planning, service uptime and enhanced customer experience.
