A million words about OSS

Whilst setting up for another new initiative this week I became aware that the PAOSS blog has just ticked past 1 million words.  And that’s not including all the other pages or downloads available on the PAOSS website.

I knew I loved talking about OSS (which was the whole reason for starting this blog), and with anyone who would listen [perhaps even quite a few who didn’t want to!], but a million words has blown me away a little bit!!

But as you all know, there’s still so much left to talk about and the field of OSS is proliferating faster than ever.

I already have close to 1,000 ideas in my note-taking app for future articles, so there’s still plenty left to talk about. But the whole point of today’s article is to continue to ponder what’s most important to talk about in the world of OSS, so our ask to you is:

What aspects of OSS (and BSS) would you like us to talk about more?

Please leave us a comment below if you have thoughts about what we should (or shouldn’t) cover in 2025 and beyond (and even in the few remaining slots in 2024?)

What haven’t we covered yet? What should we cover in more detail? What roles, situations, experiences could we deep-dive on? What downloadable materials should we develop next?

What will help you on your journey through this fascinating world of OSS?

Thanks for joining us on this journey together!!
