NetCracker Technology and NEC Corporation announced that Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (SingTel) has selected them to transform the backend systems for its enterprise customers. The solution will automate and enhance SingTel’s end-to-end service fulfillment processes to enable its Group Enterprise to bring new products and services bundles to the market more swiftly.
SingTel, based in Singapore, is Asia’s leading digital multimedia and solutions group and among the world’s largest fixed-line and mobile operators. SingTel’s Group Enterprise provides fixed-line, mobile and data connectivity services; cloud applications; and enterprise mobility capabilities for small, medium and large business and government customers across Asia.
This new service fulfillment solution will establish a single, centralized network inventory database while bringing together SingTel’s service fulfillment, service assurance and network solution components into a seamless, automated process for resource checking, reservation and service activation.
This move is also a strong indicator that NetCracker would be at the head of the queue to sign a contract with Optus, the Australian subsidiary of SingTel, which has been undertaking a lengthy OSS vendor selection process.
