TOT signs with Netcracker

TOT Combines Pre-Paid, Post-Paid, Mobile and Fixed Billing with Convergent Netcracker Solution.

Netcracker announced that TOT Public Company Limited, formerly known as the Telephone Organization of Thailand, has implemented Netcracker’s Convergent Billing solution to consolidate its pre-paid and post-paid fixed and mobile rating, charging and billing processes, which were traditionally managed on disparate platforms.

TOT is a leading provider of fixed and mobile telephony services across Thailand. With a combined platform, TOT will not only be able to improve its billing accuracy, flexibility and agility, but it will also be able to support convergent models and deliver innovative services and a superior customer experience.

“Despite the growing communications market, competition is still fierce, which required us to transform our billing environment and bring our fixed and mobile processes onto a single, unified system to reduce costs and simplify operations,” said Puttichai Khluabkamnoed, Senior Director and Head of the Billing System Competence Center at TOT. “Consolidating and integrating our billing processes will help us meet our customers’ diverse needs without encountering obstacles associated with a lack of flexibility or standardization.”

By bringing together fixed and mobile billing operations into a single system, TOT can streamline processes and launch convergent business models that cater to a wide range of customer needs and expectations without introducing complexities associated with managing a multitude of platforms.

A unified approach to converged BSS allows TOT to maximize operational efficiency, centralize offer and product management processes, support differentiated charging schemes and improve credit control and prevent bill shock. The single system, which is built on unified architecture, includes a single data model and product catalog across the entire system, removing complexity and increasing consistency. TOT will also be able to maintain billing accuracy and consistency and accelerate order-to-cash processes across its entire customer base.

“Being able to help simplify the ordering and billing processes for customers, regardless if they require mobile or fixed services, is critical for communications services providers around the world,” said Loh John Wu, Vice President Asia Pacific at Netcracker. “With a sophisticated convergent solution, operators can manage those operations through a consolidated platform to improve experience internally and externally. We are happy to help TOT enable these capabilities and provide an experience that its customers demand.”
